Resolved Question: Worth seeing Marta's Vineyard or Nantucket? Trip to Cape Cod, staying in South Yarmouth,MA labor day weekend.?

I am trying to find things to do, I see Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket is close by. Which would be better choice for a day trip? or are there better things to see? I am not going to swim or tan. Probably going to be cooler in begging of sept 10. Going with husband (we are 26) and like nice historic buildings, musumes etc? Which would u recommend? Thx! Have a great Labor Day ! :)...
